MAKING THE MOST OF THINGS AND INFAMOUS FIRST LINES

Quite a combination of ideas though I hope Infamous First Lines will make you laugh.

FAIRYTALES WITH BITE

Making the Most of Things, to me, is not about tolerating injustice ( we shouldn’t) but is about making the most of the skills and talents we have.  I ask how our characters might do this.  I also ask how the fictional world you’ve created makes the most of its resources (and what those might be).

THIS WORLD AND OTHERS

Infamous First Lines shares some lines nobody in their right mind would ever want to hear.  I’ve also justified some of these though I think most are self-evident!  Some examples include “What dragon?”  (stay away from whoever says this, their observational skills are open to question) to “I do love volunteers, don’t you?”  Can you add to my list?  As ever, comments are welcome.

CHANDLER’S FORD TODAY/FACEBOOK PAGE

I’ll be discussing the joy of interviews for this week’s Chandler’s Ford Today post.  More tomorrow though it is what I mainly discuss on my FB page.

Whether you write flash fiction or other kinds of story, brainstorming sessions are invaluable. I have, less often, used them to generate ideas for non-fiction work. Image via Pixabay.

Working out some infamous first lines perhaps?!  Image via Pixabay.
